Kids

I got a call from Jen at Saint Vincent de Paul on Friday. She wanted to know if I could come to a women’s shelter that they work with and take pictures of some of the kids there. How could I say no?

Monday evening Jen picked me up at BART and took me to the shelter (at a confidential location). Part of the challenge of photographing there would be that the images had to be taken in such a way as to obscure the identity of the subjects. This is what I came up with.

I’m the wife of the former Executive Director at St. Vincent de Paul. I love these pix of the kids at the Riley Center….a wonderful and unsentimental reminder that, through the good hard work of a lot of caring people, these kids get a chance at growing up in a safe place. Thanks for sharing the message with images that make you smile.

    • Patrice-

Thank you for the kind words. I had a blast with the kids from the shelter, and so enjoy helping out Saint Vincent whenever I can.

Always happy to know that my work makes people smile.
